The Founder Story

Fire Safety Score was born from a moment of terrifying clarity during the 2025 Palisades Fire, one of the most destructive wildfires in Los Angeles history.

Davide Di Cillo, a product and engineering leader who has worked at Facebook, Pinterest, Coinbase, and eBay, watched the fire reach a neighbor's property and stop at their fence line. The difference between the home that survived and the ones that didn't wasn't luck. It was preparation: defensible space, hardened materials, cleared vegetation.

That experience crystallized a simple but urgent insight: most homeowners don't know what makes a property survivable, and the tools to find out are expensive, slow, and inaccessible.
